In Mario's world cake appears to have two meanings.

I agree with the clothes laying outside. The door should also look fancy and royal as if we were in Peach's castle.

Awesome idea. But the design is way too basic. I suggest adding detail to the door. Hang a tie from the doorknob, instead of the "Do not Disturb" sign. A tie on a doorknob denotes that two individuals are having 'relations' and wish to no be disturbed. Plus, the caption says it all anyways. Clothes littered on the floor might help as well. This could be an excellent design. Work on it, and post your drafts.

First off, awesome idea :D
But, the door should be a door not a red block.
A better font would really improve it.
Also i think some clothes scattered outside would be cool but i dunno what other people think.

The sign needs square edges and a straight rope on it. Possibly change the font on the sign to match that above it.

This needs some work i wouldnt mind Marios Hat on the door knob. Maybe also add some plumber coveralls laying in front of the door. Awesome design but needs some work.

good reference, i think maybe have a picture of a big pink cake instead. And maybe use the Mario font as well so its easier for people who dont know the refernce to understand it :D
