I love this! Its awesome. Shouldn't the shadow from Mario and the shoes on the floor be in a different direction, so its similar to the shadows of the clothes on the wall?

It's the hammer suit from Super Mario Bros 3. If you've ever played it, Mario would resemble the hammer-throwing turtles that had black hockey-like helmets.

This is would be a great t-shirt design, it gets my vote.

The only thing that could POSSIBLY make this better for me is if the Mario sunshine gear was in the closet. And maybe a subtle Princess Peach dress somewhere (interpret as you will). But this really is a very cool pic and I can't wait to buy it! Good work, mate!

The blue hat? That was Mario's color scheme (red overalls, blue shirt, blue hat) in the original "Mario Bros" arcade game, not to be confused with SUPER Mario Bros.

Metal Hat comes from Super Mario 64. Same with the winged hat. Bunny Ears comes from SML:2

The partly invisible hat comes from Mario 64 as well.

Love the design and would buy this as a shirt (Would love to have this as a poster). BTW - The Rabbit Power Up in Super Mario Land 2 did not improve his jumping ability, it just let him float down (Basically, it was the raccoon tail from Super Mario Bros 3 without the ability to fly. :-P). Sorry, the Mario purest in me just had to say that. ^^;
