The lemming reference wouldn't really fit it. I think it's both a wink at old-school Mario Fans, and could be interpreted as a critic to the Jack Thompsons in the world...

How could anyone miss this reference? Mario was HUGE.

Lemmings would be neat, but he'd have to rework the entire design... I think it's better as it is. Some kid who was obviously just playing Mario.

Those damn video games are corrupting our youth, if it's not guns in the classroom it's kids misusing star power!

hmm, the building looks a bit strange and I doubt many people will understand the reference. I'd have to see what it looks like in scale on the T-shirt.

I think this would be funnier as a cross game reference with lemmings.
