I like it. The "a" might be a tad bigger (I didn't notice it until reading the comments), but it's quite well done -- excellent innovation on a classic idea.

I like the new color change. It's not overbearing and due to the fact that it's not so bright, the "a" is more readable without having to diminish it's subtlety. Well done.

Sebastian: I'm at 6 colors now. I had considered, after submitting it, making the word the same color as the shadow. I'll try that later and see how it looks.

Nice execution on an idea that's been tossed around here for quite some time. I'm wondering though if the "PaWN3D" text should be a bit more subtle though. Just a thought.

I love the design and think it's a great idea. The style is simplistic and cartoony (which is right up my alley). The only criticism I'd offer is maybe make the "a" a little bigger. It was hard to read at first and I didn't even see it until I read another comment about it's being there.
Otherwise, awesome design :)

Its kind of strange but cool that you've gone with the pawn as a red colour, instead of the default black or white. As others have said, I like the expression :). Just wondering where the arms of the king are? (or have they've also been chopped off :P)
