you could even have little icons at the bottom that tell what kinds of stores they all are, like yellow-tinted stores are clothing (useless), red-tinted are food (useless), and blue-tinted have useful things like cutlery or sports equipment
if not, i like it as is, but perhaps with a blueprinty blue or a gray instead of the red. make the white darker if that's the case though
Nah I like this design, add in the 41... if any number should be missing at that moment it should be 42.
Blueprint blue is not a bad idea... the colours would clash less and it would make more sense (in terms of the map).
Maybe try the background in grey, seeing as it's a 'you are here' theme...
