Yeah, something needs to be changed about the shadow, I didn't realize it was one until I read the comments. Otherwise, I like it and the idea.

The Pacman doesn't look like a shadow to me. Is it meant to be along the ground and up a wall? If so adding some simple lines to show the wall might help. I like the pink on grey colour scheme.

Probberly lighter on that colour background, or make the backgound lighter and the shaddow darker.
